Some people might argue that this is a ''slow burn'' reverse harem. Those people would be wrong.

There isn't any burn regarding Lexie's future harem in at least the first two books and some of the third. And even up till the fifth book, the most that happens is a kiss for all the boys apart from Miles (because the darling is the only one to actually stick to the vote). What the first two books do, imo, is build the main characters so by the time the fifth book (which is the last finished book at Some people might argue that this is a ''slow burn'' reverse harem. This being said the first book is hella slow, with pretty much nothing happening apart from alot of hanging out and Lexie finding out what she is. It's draggy and if you go into this expecting all the sexual tension then you my fellow reader are going to be disappointed.

While I know this series will eventually become a reverse harem, I can't tag the first books as such because it's all about what great friends they are. Also the fact that the whole friends angle is rubbed in so much when everyone knows it's going to turn into more annoyed me. Because believe it or not, girls and guys can be totally platonic friends forever without being romantically inclined. While I appreciate that the author was trying to build the characters and their relationships that was not what I was expecting for two whole books.

There needs to be a whole new round of editing and proofreading of this series as well because the tenses are all over the place in the first 3 books. It gets better in the 4th and 5th but errors still abound.

As you can tell I've finished the first 5 books already because my poor naive soul was expecting something better in the second book and less stupidity in the 3rd book but by the last two books I was almost enjoying myself. If only the RH aspect had picked up more by then I would be satisfied enough to wait for the next book in the series. Let me start by saying I listened to this as an audio book.
I LOVED the storyline! Even with the very Very little romance the book kept me very interested through out. I adore the guys and their different personalities and traits! Ally is a total badass who I have a little girl crush on. She kicks series ass through the whole book and doesn’t take any crap! Very excited to start book 2 and see some romance develop between them hopefully!

This book is awesome. It kept my interest so much I had a hard time putting it down. I’m looking forward to the next book, hoping it will be just as good as the first book.

I found this series recommended and tried it out. I wasn't excited because its characters are in high school and I was NOT into the FMC going on and on about how she's not like other girls. However. I will tell you that this story entrapped me and I could not stop reading. I immediately went to find book two.

The main character is funny and usually strong minded. The male friend group is adorable and they all have great personalities. The plot and worldbuilding is wonderful.

Not what I expected in a good way

First off: there is little to no romance in this book. However, I’m so glad it was categorized here so I stumbled across it. I adore all the guys and want to be Lexie when I grow up. What a great read!
