This book was not as strong as the first 3 in the series, but that was due to character choices, but the writing. As always, Amy has a way with words - though I don’t always agree with her choices as an author. This book was... rough. Non-con and flat out tape rape, along with mental manipulations that are in someways even worse. All that bothered me, and didn’t really seem to advance the story or the character arch, though the end results of the captivity did.
