I tried reading this book a couple of times, I just couldn't connect with the main character. I eventually made it through the whole book but I won't be reading the rest in the series.

Not as confusing as the reviewers claim. I had an easy enough time following what was going. There was a lot within the plot and lots of people but it was still not confusing...maybe some readers should learn to actually pay attention when they read something.
Now the reader for my 3 stars is because the grammar was horrible and I think for a first book there may have been TOO many things going on.
