Mona Lisa came to her usual shift at the hospital where she encounters a patient - Griphon. He tells her that he is a Monere, a race originated from the Moon. And so is she. Also, she is one of the Queens.
The story had a Merry Gentry feel to it, what with the guards and the politics, the 'courts' and intrigue. I like where it was going most of the time and it was easy enough to read.
