This book starts out with a bang. I was pulled in from the first few pages. You start out with one viewpoint in the story and it twists until it has taken on an entirely different direction.
I thought the story was well plotted and was dying to find out what was going to happen. The author did a good job creating suspense and mystery. The heroine doesn't have any redeemable qualities that makes me want to read more.
Argument with her aunt was like a tantrum. Calls her cousins brats (like they're awful kids) yet is all teary eye and saying she misses them.
She was insensitive to her friend when needing to confirm they both saw something strange even though her friend told her she was send away for 'hallucinations'.

This is a reverse harem series and I had fun reading it. However, compulsion is not really my type or romance. I don't like how compelled heroines turn clingy and scatterbrained forgetting everything they hold dear. I want my heroines headstrong and in control of their bodies. Still, the adventure and the heartwarming scenes between Rayla and the guys were more than interesting.
