There were so many great lines, thought streams, and compelling word choices. The setting, era, and geography unique and intriguing. None of the characters were likable and all were broken and alone - but for different reasons. This was an abstract tale because time jumped back and forth, and the topic of conversation shifted from betrayal, infidelity, selfishness, vanity, politics, love, sex, faith, disappointment, compulsion, regret, insecurity, suspicion, realization, among many other humanit ...more
