Okay, no. I did not like this book. I kept hoping for it to get better, but it just didn't. I really didn't like Lia. She was naive, arrogant and selfish and her actions were so dumb most of the time, I just wanted to hit her on the head (sorry...). I also didn't like Rafe and not even Pauline really. Kaden was the only one I found slightly interesting but it wasn't enough to make me enjoy the story or root for him. And honestly, so little ...more

I was so excited to start reading this book but I've been busy and I had to read it in separate parts. I was really excited for it and it's a really great story but I just felt like it was never going to end. If you're going to read this book try to read it at once instead of dragging it for months like I did because it takes away the amazing feeling from the story because it was really good and I was not expecting the plot twist at all!

2019: rereading this book I definitely still enjoyed it a lot, but the story arc felt a little disjointed and as though it finished with 100 pages left to go. I love this world and the characters and I’m so excited to continue the trilogy!
