If you want to get REAL technical, I would probably give this book closer to a 4.5 rating. I really, really enjoyed this book. I feel like it was a pretty quick read, and I can honestly say it was like nothing I've ever read before.

It did take me quite a few chapters to really get into the story. But once you do you're hooked. It was so unique, and I loved the riddles and hearing about all of the 80's stuff. I wasn't a teen in the 80's, I was born in 92, but I still grew up on a lot of the tv s

Oh boy, what a book.

This was a very unique kind of book. I've read several dystopian novels in the past, but none of them were anything like this one. Points for originality.

I think the reason I enjoyed it so much was because of the familiarity of the content within the book. I love to play video games and I love the 80's! I am a huge 80's movie fan. Several of the movies I love were mentioned in the story and even a few songs. This book was highly entertaining.

That was one wild ride from start to finish! Just one question- should I be concerned that I really want to go to the OASIS?

Well that was disappointing. I think a lot of this was to do with the pacing, the fact there was long moments of nothing and I missed/didn’t catch a lot of the pop culture references. I did adore the premise and the world itself and enjoyed how it ended tho :)
