[close] I kept getting invited to read new books, and while I truly do love this book and enjoyed reading it, I did apparently find it easy to put aside. I found it easy to feel the heart of the two main characters. The tragedy of the Jewish experience in WW2 went so much deeper than the obvious. This couple (& their daughter) were able to move to England from Germany at the beginning of the war. Mr. Rosenblum's goal was to become English - more difficult than he could imagine. Mrs. R's. goal is to not forget the family and friends who did not make it out of Germany. There is humor, angst, rebirth of love, dogged determination & hope in this little family's story. I recommend this book.
