[close] I just re-read most of this and am so excited to add it to this group. Of all the books I've read this one has lingered in my mind and heart. I genuinely liked and cared for each person, and ached with them as they experienced the life changing realities of WW2. I wish I could have met Leo and many others in this true and incredible book. L. Marks writing is second to none!

I just re-read most of this book again. Of all the books I've read this one has lingered in my mind and heart. I genuinely liked and cared for each person, and ached with them as they experienced the life changing realities of WW2. I wish I could have met Leo and many others in this true and incredible book.
