[close] In the heart of full discloser, Sandra Byrd, the author is my sister-in-law. However, if a book is burdensome to read I always put it down and move on. “Mist of Midnight” was a page turner, a can’t put down mix of mystery, delight and poignancy. The main and secondary characters were all equally deep and intriguing. This is no simple plot. The reader is engaged in living every moment in the heroine’s shoes, knowing only as much as she does, in the same manner as we live our own lives. The beauty of two lands, of romance and of forgiveness and integrity run deep throughout the book. This is a must read for your summer book list!
