What Members Thought
What a charmingly written book. In beautiful prose the authors take us into the lives of the inhabitants in the German occupied Channel Islands. They are not merely picking up the pieces after the war, but sharing the strength, humor and whit that got them through those three years. The formation of their literary society was a testament to their ingenuity. The title, “The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society” quirkily captured my attention.
