My brother gave me this book after he read it and it inspired him to make changes in his financial life. I have debt, but I never considered it a big deal because I thought "everyone has debt, it's a part of life." However, it does cause stress and stop me from doing things I wish I could. After reading The Total Money Makeover I have a clear concise plan and am excited to tackle my debt, build my savings, and start my retirement fund.
