YMMV. I realized after reading this that I like Yong's Twitter thread summaries of his work more than his work itself. A few chapters really worked for me, especially near the end of the book, but a lot of it failed to keep my attention and felt very meandering and wasn't my personal jam.

It was a little bit repetitive in parts but overall pretty good, the most interesting parts are the ways in which bacteria can be utilised by us.
The topic was fascinating but the book could have been edited to achieve some cohesion and momentum.
