Read for a book club. I like the authors dystopian books better. Butler takes a journey and recalls events of his life.
I really don’t know how to rate this book. It was so well written that while the character Stevens was an incredibly tedious bore, I found myself loving him and being so incredibly sad for him. How did this writer make me love a book that spent four pages describing the nature of banter?! Wish that I had read this with my book club- so that I could discuss this and perhaps be better able to articulate exactly how much I liked (or disliked this book)
