I really enjoyed this book. I came to love the characters and their stories. I didn't know anything about the occupation of the channel islands during world war two. It was a really interesting read. My only complaint was that it took me awhile to sort out all of the characters because the book was written entirely in letters but once I figured out who all the characters were I really enjoyed the book. Loved the perspective of WW2 from Guernsey. It was a great and fun read...Greatly looking forward to how they decide to play this out in the movie coming to Netflix on 8/10. Love Lily James and really hope the movie does the book justice.

I loved this book. The beginning was a little slow for me, but I am glad I pressed on. I love books that take place in a country setting.
