i finished GLPPPS last night and can say it was a quick, enjoyable read. i really like the short and sweet ones so i can feel i've accomplished something right away. instant gratification and all that.

i thought the letter writing aspect was nice because you got a good understanding about the characters and who they were without the writer spelling it out in the standard way that writers do. there were times that i felt it was a little light and breezy though, and i would have liked

A great quick read. Story is told through series of letters, the main character being an author who is introduced, by chance, to an society of individuals who endured the German occupation on Guernsey Island during WWII. The only complaint I have is that I wish the supporting characters, especially Sidney, were further developed.

P.G. Wodehouse meets 84 Charing Cross Road. A very predictable (I knew the outcome ten pages into the book) but delightfully uplifting read. I loved it!
