It’s the year 2044. Wade is born into a world where there are barely any natural resources left and the only escape from reality is the OASIS, a virtual reality world where everything is possible. This is essentially the premise of this book. My husband kept telling me to read it, and as someone who grew up with no TV and therefore no video games, I thought it was going to be a waste of time. SO GOOD. SO DAMN GOOD. Anyone who geeks out for things in the virtual world, give it a read and marvel at the amazing-ness of this book. Wil Wheaton does a super awesome job in the audiobook as well! (CANNOT CONTAIN EXCITEMENT FOR THE MOVIE AAAHHH) ...more
