Even more amazing the second time around! I listened to the audiobook, which is narrated by Will Wheaton.
I really really loved this book. I thought it was such a great concept and the 80's references were fantastic. I loved Art3mis and Aech and, of course, Parzival-Wade. I wish the book had last longer.

I enjoyed this whole book but last night I made the mistake of starting to read at 9 PM. Stayed up and read the last 20% of the book before I could go to sleep.
There is a fine line between 2 and three stars for me and this book sits firmly on it. While I loved and got the pop culture references, I was lost at the vintage video games. The characters are two dimensional at best and the last chapter was a throw on that I felt was a bit superfluous. While I'm sure parts of the story were meant to be twists and turns they seemed formulaic and suffered from heavy foreshadowing that left me feeling a bit bored. I loved this. Super-immersive sci-fi, a great story that keeps on going and ties up nicely, and a total geekfest of references to the world of videogames and pop 80s culture. Great fun and well done.
A fun read and I liked the premise, but the writing felt very YA and I didn't enjoy the constant referencing of 80s trivia. But overall enjoyable.

Not exactly my type of book, but an enjoyable good v. evil story.
