I'm not sure if the book would have been better if I had read it more quickly (nearly 5 months is a LONG read for me). As it was, I was often confused about what and when things were happening and would forget names and previous encounters with people. Still, it was interesting to get a first hand opinion of what is causing so much unrest in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
