Outlander is by far the best historical romance series I've read, and this is the first book. When I first read the premise that married Claire Randall goest back in time and is forced to marry Jamie Fraser, I had my reservations that I could like this couple. Trust me. I finally finished this giant book!!! Lots of feelings. It was crazy and some parts dark! But all in all a great story and courage and love ❤️

I'm almost afraid to say anything because people are very polarized about this book, it seems people either love it or hate it, and whichever side they are on , they are quite passionate about it! There was a lot I liked about it such as Clair's healing abilities and all the stuff about the herbs. The time travel thing was cool. I really liked Jamie, he was so sweet and lovable. When I first started reading this book I had the hardest time getting into it. A friend urged me to continue and I'm so glad she did After a certain point I just couldn't put it down. and the part about it that I've heard bother people, adultery and murder, didn't bother me one bit!
