I'm marking this as "read" because I got through more than half. But I'm giving up. This book is just too depressing for me, and I can't force myself to read anymore. The writing is great, it's a good story, but I just can't take the dark tone. There is so little light in this book. Maybe I'll try again when I'm in the mood for a tear jerker.

I was suprised at how sad this book made me. Right from the beginning I knew it was a train wreck but I couldn't turn away. I thought the characters were pretty sympathetic so it was hard not to see all sides of the story. Still, it shows the pain and cost of secrets.

I wanted to slap all the characters in this book and make them do something about the lonely lives they were all choosing to live. And the end didn't give me any satisifaction. I wouldn't recommend it.
