I liked this book. The characters were fairly interesting and so was the story line. If I could, I would mark it as 3.5. The one main drawback is with the writing style Tolkien uses. He drives me crazy when he goes on and on, writing 2-3 pages that is best condensed into one. Other than that, the book has no problems.
