I'm not sure I can say the book is better than the movie because the movie did an AWESOME job of portraying the book, but there are, of course, things in the book you don't get in the movie. Definitely worth a read!

Let's just say I can understand why other people love this book. It is clever and it did keep my interest. But I also wanted to slap Buttercup upside the head. She didn't deserve Westley. And then ending just kind of left me cold. But then, Goldman is right. Life isn't fair.

One of the funniest books I have ever read. Even funnier than the movie. A deserved cult classic. Westley, Buttercup, Inigo, Fezzik, Prince Humperdinck, Count Rugen and the Dread Pirate Roberts...they're all here.

It's almost exactly the same as the movie--but the movie's better because of its dead-on cast. Skip the book and rent the movie.
