I'm not quite sure why I bothered to finish this. I'm fine with suspending belief for the sotryline of aliens etc., but I'm not OK with the author being lazy. A truck that's been parked for eight years starting up and working fine throughout the rest of the book? Details like that frustrated me.

I had low expectations from this book since I've heard it was a bit boring. It was good, better than what i expected. It was exciting and it just made me cry at the end. I did not appreciate the romantic part though. I think the book will still be as good without the romance, They are 15 year old teenagers and I don't think romantic love was that important. Still, I love all the characters! I'll definitely read the next one.

This one moves fast and will appeal to those out there who like a good plot. The characters are developed, though I'm hoping for more depth as the series goes on. There is a lot of action and the archetypes are abundant! I think this one will appeal to fellas and those who like a good alien story. It reminded me a little of the Dark Days of Daniel X by Patterson...only longer.
