A lot of people have talked about what a great tale this was, so I won't bother -- I'm not enough of a literary dork to make a big impact from that aspect. What I can comment about the book was its ability to really capture what it meant to be part of a modern Greek-American family. I'm really glad that I took the time to reread this book. I found there was a lot that I didn't remember and a lot that I did, but that was interesting to read for a second time. This author has tackled a few incredibly difficult subjects- incest, inbreeding, and transgender, and turned them into an amazing novel that really makes you think about any prior prejudices you might have, no matter how unintentional.
