After reading Coraline earlier this year (not really a fan of that book) I thought I'd give another Gaiman book a try and this book was picked for me (cheers babe). Gotta say it was a weird one but then fantasy books sometimes are, a little slow in parts but built up nicely to a tied up ending. Was disappointed with one of the threads of the story though and I thought it could've been done differently. ...more

Very different from the movie yet with a more realistic (I felt) ending. I enjoyed this book immensely! Though I did the movie first, so that colored my experience.
