I am behind the times, but just finished Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. Wow! What an incredible tale of love and lies. I couldn’t put it down. To say that was a twisted mess of a story is a vast understatement. I am fairly certain this book will stay with me for a very long time.

This book is an intense Alfred Hitchcock style mind bender. The story is more or less divided into two halves. The first half is only decent and predicable. Then the 2nd half comes along and turns the entire thing upside down. At that point the book became impossible for me to put down.
There are some drawbacks to the story, but, in the end, I liked it a lot. It was a story that expects the reader to do a little work to earn the ending; very Amy-like.
