There's a line in one of the books about Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt in which she asks something like, "Are we the way we are because we married or did we marry because of the way we are?" While hardly at the presidential level, the same could be asked of Nick and Amy Dunne in Gone Girl. These are two seriously messed up people. Mmm, mmm. What a fun read--all self-conscious (in a good way) and carefully crafted writing and who's-zooming-who plotting. I scarfed it up. As a psychological thriller, it gets five stars. Bonus: it's often hysterically funny.

obsessed! not gonna give away anything bc i agree with the reviews that say it'd be easy to spoil, but i absolutely don't understand the reviews saying it took them awhile to get into. i read it in one day, literally could NOT put it down!! i definitely recommend!

It reminds me a little of The Pact. Did he or didn't he, but wait, I am starting to think maybe he didn't and she ran away from a bad marriage to get back at him for not paying enough attention?!?!?
