This was a compulsively readable book, but not and enjoyable one for me. I think it does highlight what an insane society we have become where the media glows on to a story and chooses what spin they will create for it.
This book took me a bit to get into...mainly because I had heard that there were twists and turns...so even though I felt like the author wanted me to like one character--- and hate another....I was suspicious.
The story is of two people--- each tell their side of the story. The disappearance of a wife on the 5th year anniversary...the search for her (or her body) and her killer (or kidnapper)...The husband tells you what is happening as the disappearance unfolds--- and the wife tells the story ...more

I was so intigued by this book when I read the back cover and after seeing the commercials for the movie but I didn't get far. The language was too awful. I really want to know what happens but I just can't get through it.

Very disturbing and it gets worse as you go. I guessed a lot of the plot twists before I got to them, though, and that is why I only gave it 4 stars.
This book sucked me in and kept me mentally involved the whole time. I can't even remember the last book I read that did the same. A little more language than I'd prefer but not too over the top. A definite recommend for anyone who likes a good mystery!

Fram till ungefär mitten var den oerhört bra och spännande och jag ville bara ha mer och mer! Men efter det började den tappa tyckte jag, vilket var helt onödigt. Synd.
It reminds me a little of The Pact. Did he or didn't he, but wait, I am starting to think maybe he didn't and she ran away from a bad marriage to get back at him for not paying enough attention?!?!?

what an amazing story. Everyone is unlikable, except maybe Go, and the plot twistS just blow my mind. I did wish for a more "War of the Roses" ending.
