Talk about a SAD book!!! It was a quick read, and a good book, and apparently will be made into a movie. I liked the way it was written and how the author gave the point of view. But you read it thinking, "Wow, there isn't a happy ending here, no matter how it ends..."

This was a pretty good, very fast, read. It was a nice juxtaposition of current events and past memories. The description of the initial accident was chilling. There is a moment when she walks towards her dad and notices the ground has become slick and there are pieces of gray cauliflower scattered about - you read that and shiver.

If Jenny recommends, I almost always like it. It amazed me the way the book went from a happy story of a well adjusted teenager to a story of sadness, but not lost hope, in a matter of seconds.
