I went into this with relatively low expectations, but I really enjoyed this! Yes, it's pretty standard YA fantasy, but the characters are fantastic and the world building and magic system is really unique!

This review is going to be slightly different from the ones I’ve done so far. With this one I want to explore a Trilogy in one go rather than individual books. There are a couple of reasons for this… I feel like I can’t talk about the books individually, they feel like one complete story split into 3 chapters almost, the Grishaverse as a whole is so rich and wonderfully explored across the 3 books and also because the books in themselves are not ‘big’ books.
