I read this book out of curiosity after seeing it numerous banned books lists. All that fuss over menstruation talk, teens kissing very chastely at a party, and a girl who prays to God but doesn't feel His presence in organized religion. How scandalous!

"I must, I must, I must increase my bust". I have to admit this made me laugh a little reading it. I have never read this book before and I have no idea how I would have reacted as a sixth-grader reading this book. The book illustrates how innocent and how new things are when you are going through an awkward time in your life.
