I enjoyed this one, especially since it is a told in verse.

I loved every poem in this book that made up Jacqueline Woodson's story but especially "Stevie and Me" on page 227 (Oh the importance of letting children read what they are ready and interested in reading.)

I can see why this was on so many awards lists. Great story, great use of verse, and great for kids to get into. I will be passing this on to many kids this year, I think.
