I didn’t have the best feelings going into Entwined. There were so many mixed reviews and I didn’t know what to think. But I started it and I realized three things: one, I love fairytale retellings; two, I find myself enjoying the older time periods when the original story took place; and three, I need a romance, no matter how small. Entwined is a retelling of the old story of the twelve dancing princesses. I honestly don't recall much about the original tale other than it involved 12 royal sisters who liked to dance a lot so I wasn't sure what to expect from this one. Entwined by Heather Dixon is a fairy tale retelling of The Twelve Dancing Princesses. This was interesting for me, because, until reading this book, I knew nothing about about the original fairy tale. Aside from Azalea, Bramble, and Clover, most of the sisters blended together.
