The best part of this book was the writing style. I was mesmerized with Laini Taylor's writing from the very beginning. I thought the characters were interesting and reading about them was enjoyable. They were very fleshed out and although they were fantasy characters and not even human. I felt like I could relate to them. The imagery in this book was beautiful. It took me a very long time to read this book because there is a lot of world development and new words. Until around 200 pages in it w ...more
