I have been dissapointed with the last few Picoult books. Change of Heart was probably my least favorite of all her books:(. The plot sounded so intriguing to me, but I found myself bored at times. Bored.

June Nealon has all she loves taken from her in an instant. Shay Bourne is responsible for her loss and spending the rest of his life as a death-row inmate. Now, eleven years later...June's happiness once again lies in Shay Bournes hands. Can a convicted killer save her only daughter? Can a lif

Jodi Picoult's newest novel does not disappoint. I do have to admit that in the beginning, when I detected a "Green Mile" vibe in the prison, I was slightly disappointed. But it becomes much more than that and at the end, you're left to question how it all happened anyway.
What is always so satisfying to me (and what also makes me realize that I am far to lazy to ever be a writer) is how well Jodi Picoult researches her books. In every book she writes, she is so thorough with her research and inv

Jodi always knows how to make me cry. Even though I figured out the twist from the very beginning, I enjoyed this read. I seem to keep reading religious themes these days, even though I'm really not religious.

The death penalty was an interesting topic for me. I remember writing an essay on cruel and unusual punishment in high school and centering on the death penalty. This was quite a different angle as I never thought that death might be what the prisoner wants the most.

I found myself staring at the book for quite sometimes after I finished reading it. I know inside me of is crying hard for Shay.

Yes, I watched Green Mile but for me this book is nothing like Green Mile. As usual Jodi makes me thinking hard about what life, sacrifice and love is all about.

I really liked this book. I liked the different points of view, and I was interested in the topics of religion and capital punishment. I did see the ending coming for quite a while. One of my favorites by Picoult.

I liked this. It was a lot of Religion but it was done in a good way. I did have the Twist figured out fairly early, but it didn't take a way from the book. If you liked Keeping Faith you will like this one. ...more

Another great story from Ms Picoult, perhaps a bit heavy on the Green Mile allusions but nevertheless an engaging read.
