This was an amazing read on so many levels - compelling, thought provoking, hopeful, tragic...humanity in all its complexity, I guess. It made me question my beliefs about religion, capital punishment. Again, Picoult looks at the judicial system and how it prejudices against some who do not fit the mould. For an author who churns out book after book, she has the amazing ability to write expertly crafted, thought-provoking and compelling stories.
