This was a very difficult read and was a disappointing novel from Jodi Picoult. I had read other reviews and tended not to pay too much attention to them. I find I often disagree with the majority. I read, in more than one, that this was her first novel. And it shows. I always enjoy the perspective of different characters with separate chapters in various typefaces. Honestly, I couldn't finish this book. I love Jodi Picoult, but this one was really hard to get into, and after two different attempts at picking it up and reading more than half way through, I gave up on it. It was strange because it switches between past and present tense and you sort of have to figure out which one you're in at the moment.

This Jodi Picoult's first novel. If you have read other her books and then read this you can see were she's experimenting with her different timeline's for her characters.I thought if I had read this first, I might not be a huge Picoult fan.

Not her best work. While I get that she was trying to get a "full circle" effect, the book ended up being disjointed and repetitive.
