I hate to say it because I usually LOVE Jodi Picoult's books. But this one just didn't do it for me. It took me about a week to read which is way longer than it takes me to read a typical book. It had a good story line but it just didn't captivate me. I only found myself itching to know more in the final few chapters, when to me, the story was just getting good.

This is the last Jodi Picoult book I had left to read, and overall, I really enjoyed it. You can tell it's one of her earlier works, because it doesn't have the "formula" that you find in her more recent novels. This book can be very controversal. It deals with a character who has had an abortion and how she deals with that, along with other things. At times it was really easy to get into, while also having chapters that were really hard to get through. I wouldn't reccomend this book to someone that is very anti abortion. Not that I'm all for it, but I guess I just have more of an open mind about things, and different choices. Other than that, very good read.

I finished this book last night! I really enjoyed it. It kept me reading, I never wanted to put it down. The characters are great and I kept changing my opinions of them. There was so much going on in the heads and lives of them. I never knew whose side to be on. It was very emotional and powerful. I did however, have mixed thoughts about the ending...it was a little open ended. Overall, a great read!

One woman's journey to connect with her own mother in order to be a mother to her own child, not as controversial
