I don’t know if it was inability to focus or just life stuff that made me take a while to read this book. I almost dnf’ed it. It was hard to get into only because I was reading in small chunks. So my fault….but wow…at one point I thought this might be my least favorite by Jodi Picoult….I couldn’t believe that I was feeling this way about it….

I enjoyed this book but it took a while for me to get into it. By the time I got into it, the first section was over and part 2 started which was in a whole new time period. I felt like I was back at the beginning again and fighting to get into the book. It was just a struggle. The third section was really good though and I liked how it tied everything together. It completely made up for me being so confused at the beginning.

I loved this book. It took a little while for everything to tie together but then once it did it was awesome. The books goes back and forth between the Eugenics movement in the 20s and the sterilization of Native Americans to modern day genetic counseling with a little ghost hunting thrown too. Different than Picoult's other books but even better than some of her courtroom types. ...more

Second Glance, for me was kindof a hard book to get through. Not that I didn't enjoy it, because I really did.. Its just that it wasn't one that kept me guessing all the time. I kinda had the ending figured out mid-way through. Still a very good story, hard for those who don't believe in the paranormal... which may have been why it took me so long... ...more

great author who brings controversial topics to the front and really makes you think, not one of my favorite, but interesting and a page turner--ghosts and ghost hunting
