an AMAZING book!
the characters are so believable yet so complicated.
the author gives such a raw portrayal of truth about how sometimes you can't accuse individuals when its the society to blame. But then who does the time for the crime?
This novel asks such thought provoking questions about life, death, high school, friendship, parenthood, loneliness, and suicide.

I feel for both character's and their stories. Peter, on the one hand got picked on from an early age. And the parents? Completely careless. To basically neglect him and favor the other brother was.... There aren't really any words for that.

This is the 2nd book I've read from Jodi Picoult, and again, she never disappointed me. What I really like about this book is that Jodi let the readers understand the POVs of the characters.

I really like Jodi Picoult's books because I agree with a lot of the opinions that she puts in her books and she adds a great story in with them. She definitely has a style that she sticks to but if it works, then why not?
This book touched on the subject of guns and school shootings. She went into detail about how guns are tools, just like a hammer or saw. A person can kill another person with a knife, are we going to outlaw those? Outlawing guns just does not make sense because criminals steal ...more
