This was an awesome book. Like the only other book of hers I read, "My Sister's Keeper", this one also jumped from one character to another. However, somehow, this one seemed to flow much more nicely. I was captivated the entire time, I was actually supposed to return the book to the library on Monday but I've kept it until now (Friday) because I wanted to finish it so badly.

Loved this book. I thought the plot was intriguing given its relevance to recent events, and Picoult added some really interesting twists and turns. I am always gratified when the ending is not entirely predictable for me, and that was certainly the case here. Jodi Picoult is one of my favorite authors. She writes about controversial issues, making them real to the reader. I love how her descriptions of people and places really come to life and how much you end up feeling for the characters!
What I learned from this book is that there is always another side to the story, that no matter what happens, we need to listen when someone is asking for help. We need to do something when someone asks us for help b/c it just might be the last time they ask!

While this may not have been my favorite of Jodi Picoult's book (the ending was a little weak) it's still really good and completely engrossing. It's the story of a school shooting in a small New Hampshire town told from the point of view of the shooter, his mother, one of his victims, the victim's mother who's also a judge and maybe a few other people. The bullying stuff is hard to take and Picoult does a good job making the shooter a sympathetic character.

It took me awhile to get through this book because it was so intense and there were so many emotions invovled. I'm amazed at how Jodi was able to put so many issues in this one book without it feeling cluttered or like it was too much. Great book overall.
