This one was good but I did not like the ending! I just didn't feel satisfied at the end and felt like I needed to know more. I wanted to read what Emily's journal said and wanted some kind of truce between the families. I know it would have been difficult to go back to being friends but I thought the mom should have come around and forgiven the other family or at least worked through some of her anger. This is just another amazing book by one of my favorite authors. Although her material is not light (this is about a suicide pact between 2 teenagers), her writing isn't heavy. You don't feel depressed at the end of the book (or any other part of it). I love her books. I had the opportunity to go to a reading and book signing of hers last week and she is amazing!!! It just made me love her even more. She is so down to earth. If you ever get the chance to go to one of her readings, GO!

Probably my least favorite Jodi Picoult. I'm not sure what went wrong. It was a bit bland. Don't get me wrong, Picoult at her worst is still stunning, but this is probably the only Picoult novel that I gave away after reading, sure that I'd never bother with it again.

One of Jodi Picoult's best books, a great one to start with if you've never read her before. Compelling story, great characters, awesome twists!
