What an ending - I was surprised - not five stars cause I didn't like some of the characters
5/12 Reread for book club. I still did not like some of the characters but upon retrospect- they were probably very true to the situation. Am still disappointed in the mother for burning the diary... Very interesting - how does Chris start again - fusion is an interesting phenom. BTW Jordan and his detective - should be together!!! ...more

The story of Chris Harte and Melanie Gold and the bond they have with each other right up to the end of Melanie's life. The question of teen suicide and the pressures families put on their children... Hooked from the very beginning! Heart wrenching!
