This isn't my favorite of all the Jodi books, only because I was annoyed with everyone in the book in the beginning. The main character is accused of something (I won't ruin anything), which then follows him no matter where he lands. I guess I was just annoyed with the way that lies spread immediately about the character - but I suppose this is a good representation of society in general. OH MY GOD! I knew it! The most important part of the book--the last sentence pretty much explains everything. This book is definitely not for the squemish.
This was not my favorite books by Picoult. I found the plot pretty predictible, and I just didn't fall in love with any of the characters. The best part was the detective work involved in the case. Very CSI. ...more

I think this is my favorite Jodi Picoult book, although I do agree the twist ending on this one is a little predictable. I'm completely fascinated with anything concerning the Salem Witch trials, so of course I'd be drawn to a modern retelling.
