The story of a man trying to start over in a new town after he was accused of the statutory rape of one of his high school students. He starts working in a diner in a town called Salem Falls but problems arise when he stumbles upon a group of girls engaging in a Wiccan ritual and once again he finds himself accused of a crime. I liked this book when I read it but in comparison to some of Picoult's other books it's not my absolute favorite but it's still really entertaining.

I read through this one so quickly! I just wanted to know the ending! It really kept me on my toes wondering what’s going to happen next! A little bit of a mystery, and I really enjoyed it! I felt bad for the main character though, it seemed wherever he goes trouble finds him. Even when he is innocent...

This was the first Jodi Picoult book I ever read and it was horrifyingly brilliant. I still think about it sometimes, though I have never been tempted to read it again.
As always, Jodi Picoult has written a dramatic and well written book that is a must read! It is one of my favorites that I have read of hers and I have yet to read more.
