What Members Thought
I can see what everyone means now when they say all Jodi Picoult books are similar. I tend to agree. It didn't stop me from enjoying 'Vanishing Acts'. As much as I enjoy a happy ending though - I felt a lot of questions were left unanswered. This made the book feel very unbalanced. There was a lot of build-up to a quick, unsurprising ending. This prevented me from giving the book a higher rating.

I really enjoyed this book. This book makes you think about the family dynamic and what one parent will do for the love of their child and whether or not they had their best interest at heart.
This book really threw me for a loop. I was not expecting the ending and found I was just shocked.
