oh this book. this book was my 5th jodi picoult read. it was read in a day. i wanted to read it b4 the movie came out. i didn't want the movie to influence the book. i have to say i do not recommend the movie at all once you have read it. i know jodi had nothing to do with the movie's final product, and while most parts you feel yourself in the book, reliving things that were in your head (crying like a complete fool)on the big screen. there were too many important changes for me. i almost walke ...more

This was the first of Jodi Picoult books that i read and after that i was totally hooked with her writing. I love the way she writes, giving different perspectives. Its just amazing. I loved this book specially because of the situation presented to the characters of this remarkable story. I also loved the relationship between the two sisters. And the ending...it was so unexpected..i was so devastated. Even after that i kept on coming back for more of Jodi Picoult's writing. ...more

Absolutely fantastic!

It keeps your interest from the very start. The family ties are very important, though you can see both sides of the issue at hand, it was just an unexpected ending and bittersweet.

I really enjoyed the movie as well, however, I hated that the ending was changed.

A sad story about a girl who was born to supply her leukemic sister with blood, marrow, and basically life. When she goes to get a lawyer to sue for her own body, a heartbreaking twist makes this book one of my faves.
