Jodi Picoult has reached a new level with her new book, Lone Wolf. This book dragged me into a story, that I was uncertain about and before I knew it I was firmly engrossed. So much so that I continued to read through the tears, laughter, pain and heartache until the end of the book.

Well, what can I say about this book other than I now know a hell of a lot more about wolves?!
'Lone Wolf' is about a man who abandons his family to go off and live with wild wolves for two years, but then, several years after he returns, ends up in a car accident with his daughter and is put into a coma. His estranged son returns and basically wants to pull the plug on him right away, while the daughter (understandably) would like to wait more than a few days to see if his condition changes.

I would give this a 2.5. I enjoyed the writing style with each character's voice in a different chapter and the chosen fonts for each person. Luke's information about the wolf behavior and lifestyle was fascinating. It took me a few chapters to realize the "dusty" look of the pages were representative of his journal! I always like the topics presented in Picoult's novels and this one was no different.

I enjoyed the book, as I generally always like Jodi Picoult. However, this one felt a bit rushed for me. And a serious change in the plot halfway through didn't help the rush issue. Also, this book happens in about 2 weeks....just a bit too quick for everything involved I feel.
